Germany provided equipment to Kiev rescuers

Rescuers of the 1st Special Rapid Response and Humanitarian Mine Action Center of the State Emergency Situations Ministry of Ukraine were presented with 1500 sets of protective fire-fighting clothing and 930 modern breathing apparatus with accessories from the Government of Germany. This was announced on Friday, August 18, by the Ulyanovy Portal.

The ceremony of handing over the equipment was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies Ruslan Biloshitsky, Deputy Director of GIZ in Ukraine Volker Bode, Project Manager of Ukraine's Emergency Management Christian Poschman and representatives of the Emergency Situations Ministry. According to Bode, this equipment and equipment is not only a help, but also a sign of support and gratitude for the work that rescuers of the Federal Emergency Service. "In your work you help everyone who needs it. Sometimes - at the cost of one's own life. And this causes great respect, "he said.. Recall, earlier Germany gave Kiev € 280 thousand for training officials in the framework of the project Kyiv Smart City 2020.
