The monument to the victims of the Holocaust in Babyn Yar became red not because of vandals, but after the ceremonies of the Hasidim who burned the candles on it. This was stated in his Facebook, with reference to the words of the head of the reserve, the head of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky.

"Director of the Babi Yar reserve Boris Glazunov reports that this is not vandalism. Yesterday a group of Hasidim burned candles on the Menorah, and this paint from the candles flowed onto the monument, "he wrote.
