As the press service of Kyivrada informs, the document, in particular, reminds that in 2017 100 years will be marked from the beginning of the Ukrainian national revolution of 1917-1921. Also this year mark the 75th anniversary of the UPA.
The draft resolution provides for the search on the territory of the capital of places of memory associated with the events of the Ukrainian Revolution and the activities of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, and the adoption of measures for their perpetuation.
Within the framework of the Year, the UPA is invited to conduct relevant thematic information, educational, cultural, artistic and other events in educational institutions, hold a series of scientific and practical conferences, organize exhibitions of archival documents, material monuments and photographic materials.
The commission is also proposed to attribute the territories of the "Askold's grave" tract in Kiev to a protected area, as well as to preserve the historical heritage in places connected with the events of the formation of the Ukrainian state and the Ukrainian liberation movement.
