At all Ukrainian checkpoints where trucks weighing more than 3.5 tons are processed, testing of a new mechanism for determining priority in the єCherga system has begun. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine on Friday, July 17.

Enterprises with the status of an authorized economic operator (AEO) will have the initial right to form an electronic queue.. Also, priority will be given to transportation carried out under T1 transit declarations or TIR Carnets..

The State Customs Service noted that verification of necessary documents and statuses will occur automatically thanks to the integration of customs information systems with єCherga.

The new mechanism will work on the 3:5 principle. This means that after five trucks are allowed through without priority, three vehicles will be allowed to pass through the border, entitled to priority clearance..

The department emphasized that the introduction of such a system is another step towards the development of customs simplifications and the creation of additional advantages for honest business.

Currently, 128 enterprises have the status of an authorized economic operator in Ukraine. During testing, customs officers will evaluate how the new mechanism will affect the speed and efficiency of border crossing.

As reported, at the Mogilev-Podolsky-Otaci checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, temporary delays in traffic are possible. The reason will be the repair work that will be carried out on the territory of Moldova, so drivers and passengers are advised to take this into account when planning their trips.
