A mechanism for automatically checking military registration documents has been launched in the electronic accounts of applicants, which should simplify the procedure for admission to institutions of higher and vocational pre-higher education. Now the check will be carried out without the participation of admissions committees, and the results will be generated automatically after submitting the first application for admission. The innovation was introduced in accordance with the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated July 7, 2026 No. 1/14770-26, which determines the procedure for checking military registration documents during the entrance campaign.

Automatic verification applies to men over 17 years of age entering institutions of higher or vocational pre-higher education, as well as to certain categories of women. At the same time, applicants from the temporarily occupied territories who take advantage of special admission conditions are exempt from going through this procedure.

For women aged 17 years and over, testing will only be carried out under certain conditions. In particular, it will affect those who enroll on the basis of a master's, specialist, bachelor's, associate specialist, junior bachelor's or professional junior bachelor's degree and have received education in specialties in the fields of “Healthcare” or “Healthcare and Social Welfare,” with the exception of certain social specialties.

After submitting the first application through the electronic account, the system will automatically send a request from the Unified State Electronic Database on Education to the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons liable for Military Service and Reservists “Oberig”. After the verification is completed, its status and date will be displayed in the applicant’s personal account.

Educational institutions will also receive verification results automatically after submitting the first application.

If necessary, representatives of the educational institution will be able to independently initiate a re-verification by using the corresponding function in the applicant’s electronic card.

For successful enrollment, the system must confirm one of the following statuses: “VUD confirmed”, “Person excluded from military registration”, “Person removed from military registration” or “There is no requirement for a military registration document”.
