Household consumers in Ukraine must pay housing and communal services (HCS) on time. The state provides benefits and subsidies for the payment of housing and communal services to certain categories of citizens. The Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) in the Lugansk region told by what date an application must be submitted for a housing subsidy from the beginning of the unheated season.

The PFU explained that if an application for the appointment and provision of a subsidy is submitted within two months from the beginning of the non-heating (heating) season, the housing subsidy is assigned from the beginning of such a season, but not earlier than the day the right to receive it arises.

“If a housing subsidy was already received in the previous period, then only certain categories of citizens can apply for a new period,” the message says..

The Fund noted that if the recipient of the subsidy belongs to the category of persons who applied for continued payments, then it is necessary to submit documents before July 1. Then the subsidy will be assigned from May 1 - from the beginning of the unheated season.
