Ukrainians who cannot pay for utilities on their own can apply for a housing subsidy. The Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) in the Vinnytsia region told who should apply for a subsidy for the unheated season.

The PFU explained that the subsidy for the unheated season is calculated for the period from May 1 to September 30.

" For most recipients, reassignment will take place without a personal application, provided that the data on property status or household composition has not changed. If such changes occur, the Pension Fund of Ukraine must be informed about this within 30 days,” the message says..

The Fund added that among the recipients there are certain categories to whom a subsidy for the unheated period will be assigned after submitting an application and declaration. The application must be submitted:.

those who did not receive a subsidy during the heating season or its amount was “0”;

in the case of renting a residential premises in which they actually live and pay housing and communal services;

if there are fewer people living in the premises than registered;

if a household applies for a housing subsidy for the purchase of liquefied gas, solid and liquid heating household fuel;

if there are internally displaced persons in the household.

You can submit documents to the PFU in the following ways:.

by mail or in person at any of the PFU service centers;

through the PFU web portal (select the option “Application for a housing subsidy or benefit”) or the “Pension Fund” mobile application;

through the “Diya” portal (by entering “Application for a subsidy” in the search);

at administrative service centers (ACSC);

through authorized persons of the executive body of the village, town, city council.

The PFU noted that if the application is submitted during May or June, the subsidy is assigned from the beginning of the unheated period.
