The PFU explained that temporary disability benefits are provided to the insured person in the form of insurance payments that fully or partially compensate for loss of wages in the event of an insured event. The benefit is paid to insured persons depending on the insurance period in the following amounts:.

50% of the average salary (income) - to insured persons with insurance experience of up to three years;

60% - insurance experience from three to five years;

70% - insurance experience from five to eight years;

100% - insurance experience over eight years.

Also, temporary disability benefits in the amount of 100% of the average salary are provided for:.

insured persons classified as 1-3 categories of persons affected by the Chernobyl disaster;

one of the parents or a person in their place who is caring for a sick child under 14 years of age who suffered as a result of the Chernobyl disaster;

war veterans, injured participants in the Revolution of Dignity and family members of deceased (deceased) war veterans, family members of deceased (deceased) Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine;

persons classified as victims of Nazi persecution in accordance with the Law on Victims of Nazi Persecution;

donors entitled to the benefit provided for in Article 20 of the Law “On the Safety and Quality of Donated Blood and Blood Components”;

The PFU added that when assigning and calculating benefits, the benefit can be applied by the policyholder if the insured person has the appropriate certificate, and for donors also if confirmed by a certificate from a health care institution indicating the dose and frequency of donations of blood or its components, dates of donations.
