The Higher Council of Justice decided to remove the judge of the Mostsky District Court of the Lviv region Yuri Belous from justice until November 4. This decision is associated with a criminal case, where Belouses is suspected of using an official position to influence employees of the TCC.

As reported by " Info" The prosecutor's office said at the meeting that, according to their information, the judge was even given a "

According to the investigation, in June of this year, the cousin of Belousa was delivered to the TCC in Turk in Lviv, however, after the intervention of the judge, the decision to mobilize was not made. A representative of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Alina Zhovnitskaya, said during the meeting that Bilous received funds from his niece, entered them into the TCC, and then left there with a relative.

“They asked for 12, I gave 8,” these words of the judge, according to prosecutors, were recorded during a conversation between Bilous and his relative in a car.

The SAP insists that the judge had to be temporarily suspended, since he could influence witnesses, in particular to the head of the TCC in Turk.

Yuri Belous himself said during a meeting of the Supreme Council that he could not deny the accusations, but wanted “the truth to be established”. His lawyer Oleg Slobodyanik claims that the case is “made to order” and that the judge acted “out of extreme necessity”, trying to help a 50-year-old relative who has a reservation and, according to him, ended up in the TCC illegally.

" They just tried to mobilize him illegally, and the judge went to pick him up, ”the defender said.

To the clarifying question of the VSP member of Roman Maselko about whether there was really a conversation about a bribe of 8 thousand dollars, Bilow apologized and stated that he could not comment on this topic.

In addition to the main case, the prosecutor's office told the Supreme Council of Justice that the judge is also suspected of inaccurate declaration of property. According to the investigation, in his declaration for 2024, Bilous allegedly did not indicate several apartments, a car, a plot of land and did not report that he lived with his ex-wife in an apartment in the Lviv district of Sykhiv. The total value of unrecorded property, according to the prosecutor’s office, may exceed UAH 7.5 million.

Belous himself explained that he did not constantly live with his ex -wife, but only for a few weeks he lived at her house with her children while the woman was in the hospital. According to him, he did not include the land plot in the declaration because it has not yet been put into operation.

Yuri Belous has been working in the justice system for more than 15 years. In 2024, he was temporarily seconded to the Lychakivsky District Court of Lvov.

Mobilization is a necessity, but it cannot be turned into a tool of punishment.

The history of the veteran of Ivan Biletsky raises the question: when TCC act as a call organs, and when - as punitive structures?
