Ukrainians affected by the Chernobyl disaster can receive certain benefits from the state. In particular, they provide for the payment of compensation for the cost of food products. PFU explained that compensation for the cost of products is provided to persons who have set the status:.

participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, participant in the liquidation of nuclear accidents classified as 1 or 2;

the victim from the Chernobyl disaster, classified as 1 or 2;

injured from radiation irradiation classified as 1 or 2.

What documents are needed to assign compensation for food costs.

For the appointment and payment of compensation, it is submitted:.

statement;

A copy of the certificate of the participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, a participant in the liquidation of nuclear accidents, who suffered from the Chernobyl disaster, which suffered from radiation irradies classified as category 1 or 2;

A copy of the certificate of appropriation of the registration card of the taxpayer account or a series and a passport number with a note on the refusal to accept such a number.

You can seek compensation in the following ways:.

to the PFU service center;

By mail or electronic form - through the portal \;

Through the authorized persons of the executive body of the rural, village, the city council of the corresponding territorial community or the TsPAU.

Monetary compensation is appointed no later than 10 days after the application is received with all the necessary documents.

Money compensation is not provided in the case:.

submission of the established list of documents not in full;

Changes in the place of registration;

Loss of the status of a participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, a participant in the liquidation of nuclear accidents classified as 1 or 2; the victim from the Chernobyl disaster, classified as 1 or 2; injured from radiation irradiation classified as 1 or 2.
