Ukrainians continue to receive pensions and other social payments. Since May 2025, an updated procedure for the appointment of pensions has been in force in Ukraine. In particular, persons who apply for a pension and have an experience purchased in the territory of the former USSR or other states must submit an application for the absence of pension payments abroad. The expert explained that such a statement is a written confirmation of the future pensioner that he is:.

does not receive a pension in other countries;

not registered as a pensioner outside Ukraine;

did not apply for a pension abroad.

Gukeyan noted that the statement does not require a notarial certificate-it is compiled personally and is signed in the presence of a specialist or through an online welfare.

How to file an application for the absence of a pension abroad.

The lawyer noted that the application can be submitted personally or online. For personal submission, you should contact the territorial body of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).

To submit an application online, you need to use the PFU electronic cabinet or portal " This is necessary:.

log in using CEP (qualified electronic signature);

Select the type of application (pension);

download scankopies of the necessary documents;

Add a statement about the absence of pensions abroad (you can sign a CEP online).

persons who worked in the USSR until 1991;

citizens who went to work or worked under contracts in other countries;
