Even during the war, Ukrainians can take sick leave and receive benefits in connection with temporary disability. The Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Vinnitsa region told whether the disability sheets are paid in case of the dismissal of the employee.

The employer is obliged to carry out insurance payments to employees (insured persons) and provide social services in the event of an insured event, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine of 23. 09. 99 No. 1105-XIV " In turn, employees have the right to receive such insurance payments and social services in the event of an insured event during work.

In accordance with part two of Article 15 of this Law, in cases specified in paragraphs 1 and 7 of the first part of this article, the Pension Fund of Ukraine pays a temporary disability benefit from the 6th day of the sick leave for the entire period before the restoration of the disability or until the medical and social expert commission of disability (establishing another group, confirmation of the previously established disability group). These payments are made regardless of the dismissal of the insured person during the period of disability, in the manner and size established by law.

This norm applies only to such insurance cases as:.

Temporary disability due to a disease or injury that is not associated with an accident in production, as well as temporary disability for the rehabilitation period due to the disease or injury that is not associated with the industrial accident (paragraph 1);

Staying in self -isolation, observation, temporary healthcare institutions (specialized hospitals), healthcare establishments in connection with measures aimed at preventing and distributing especially dangerous infectious diseases, as well as the localization and liquidation of their epidemics and outbreaks for the period of quarantine, established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (paragraph 7).

Given the above, according to the disability sheets that make up one insured event that began before the date of dismissal of the employee, the temporary disability benefit is provided at the expense of the Pension Fund of Ukraine on a common basis - from the sixth day of disability for the entire period before the restoration of disability or until the establishment of disability.

If the insured event began after the dismissal of the employee, temporary disability benefits are not provided.
