Due to the full-scale invasion of Russia, the educational process has changed in Ukraine. So, for the fourth year, graduates will take the national multi -subject testing (NMT) instead of VNO. Deputy Director of the Ukrainian Center for Assessment of the Quality of Education (UTSOKO) Valery Boyko during the webinar told what spelling there will be test tasks in the Ukrainian language this year, writes 24 Channel 24.

She noted that in the subjects of the NMT with which the participants will work, have already used the norms that apply for Ukrainian spelling.

“Perhaps even in those texts in the Ukrainian language and Ukrainian literature you will use those words and phrases that still cut our ear when we hear them. Perhaps you will see a “priest” with two letters “n”, read “Eterer”, “Avditer”, “Gemingway,” Boyko explained.

Also, Deputy Director Utsoko emphasized that all those tasks that relate to verification of the sections of the VNO program in the Ukrainian language, for example, such as “phonetics”, “structure of the word. Word formation ”,“ vocabulary ”are built exclusively on those spelling standards that have not undergone changes.

“Therefore, in the tests you will see text norms that are already corresponding to the new spelling of the assignments that are aimed at checking the norms of the Ukrainian language unchanged by the new spelling,” Boyko added.
