In the Strysky district of the Lviv region on the Kyiv-Chop highway, an accident occurred with the participation of a bus and a truck. The bus driver died and 16 people were injured, including four children, the National Police said on Thursday, March 6.

Law enforcement officers previously found that a bus was encountered, which was ruled by a 62-year-old resident of the Strysky district, and a DAF truck led by a 54-year-old resident of Kherson.

" The driver of the truck and 15 passengers of the bus: girls aged 1, 7, 10, and 17 years old, ten women aged 19 to 64 years, as well as a 37 -year -old man - all residents of the Strysky district - received bodily injuries and were taken to medical institutions, ”the report said in a message.

Criminal proceedings were opened under an article on violation of road safety rules (h. 2 tbsp. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
