Every year, Christians of the Eastern Ritual celebrate the Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel. In September 2023, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PCU) switched to a new calendar. Therefore, for PTC parishioners, the dates of the celebration of non -transitional Orthodox holidays have changed. Now they are celebrated 13 days earlier.

The Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel is an important holiday for believers. According to biblical legend, it was he who brought the Virgin Mary the news that she would become the mother of the Savior. Archangel Gabriel is considered one of the seven main angels - immortal ethereal spirits, ministers of God.

Earlier, the Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel was celebrated on April 8. But after the PCU made the transition to the Novoyolian calendar, the date of the holiday changed. So, in 2025, the Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel was celebrated earlier - March 26.
