Experts explained that after stopping the transit of Russian gas on the Ukrainian GTS network, false messages are once again distributed about the allegedly significant increase in gas delivery for household consumers.

“Gas distribution tariffs cannot grow without notifications and preparation. Because they are claimed by the regulator - NKREKU. Today on the website of the state regulator, designs are really registered on the establishment of new tariffs for the distribution of natural gas for all GRS operators. However, so far these are only projects. And the final decision has not yet been made, ”the report said.

Experts noted that such an announced increase does not concern household consumers. A moratorium on raising tariffs for the distribution of natural gas for the population continues to operate during martial law in Ukraine and for another six months after its cancellation. Martial law is extended until May 9, 2025.

“That is, for the population, gas delivery tariffs in 2025 will not increase. Amounts in payments can only change due to the volume of gas consumed during the last gas year. It is on its basis that payments will be considered to you in the new year, ”they explained.

For whom can the tariff for gas delivery may increase.

According to experts, the proposed tariff changes relate not to the population, but of other categories of consumers, including enterprises, institutions, organizations, and utility services. For them, the action of the moratorium on the growth of the gas delivery tariff expired on June 30, 2024.
