According to analysts, a sharp increase in the supply of onions in the market immediately affected the price of this product.

So, as of February 6, the onion was sold in the range of 8-14 UAH/kg ($ 0.19-0.34/kg), depending on the quality and volumes of the proposed parties, which on average is 12% cheaper than at the end.

Analysts added that in this situation, the owners of high -quality onions decided to completely refuse sales and announced their intention to resume the implementation no earlier than March of the month of this year.

It should be noted that now the price of onions in Ukraine is on average 20% lower than in early February 2024.
