A number of the heads of the cities of Ukraine declare the pressure that is on them by the central authorities of the hands of military administrations and security forces.

Local officials convince that pressure on mayors of cities has been going on for 1.5 years, but recently it has intensified that, in their opinion, it may be associated with the approaching elections.

In particular, that the security forces “nightmare” the local authorities for paralysis of the life support of Kyiv, once again said the mayor of the capital Vitaly Klitschko.

" In the investigative actions in relation to representatives of the authorities of Kyiv, all the power structures of Ukraine are involved without exception: national, urban and law enforcement officers from other regions of the country. According to him, over the past year in Kyiv conducted more than 200 searches, 400 recesses of documents and more than 500 interrogations, and also presented about 100 suspicions.

At the same time, Klitschko emphasized, units of these cases reach the court. So endless searches rather contribute to stopping the work of utilities and demoralize employees.

He added that the city constantly transfers to law enforcement officers the identified information about the possible facts of corruption actions and works to lead.
