Applications for interim reparations were submitted by 648 Ukrainians and Ukrainian women who were subjected to sexual violence by Russian occupiers. Currently, 432 people have received these payments.. This was announced by the president’s wife Elena Zelenskaya following a meeting in Kyiv of representatives of the Global Alliance to Prevent Sexual Violence in Conflicts.

According to her, more and more is becoming known about new episodes of such violence by Russian war criminals against Ukrainians. Victims are gradually finding the strength to speak out, including thanks to positive examples of comprehensive support..

The First Lady recalled that the Office of the Prosecutor General recently raised suspicion against another Russian military man - a guard at the colony where Ukrainian prisoners were kept.. One of the tortures he organized was sexual assault.

" In particular, 12 stationary centers to help the rescued have already been opened for this purpose, three more operate in a mobile format. They have already provided assistance to more than 50 thousand people,” Zelenskaya summed up..
