On Wednesday night, Russian aggressors launched more than 100 missiles and drones into Ukraine. Most enemy targets were destroyed. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Telegram on January 15.

“It’s the middle of winter, and the target for the Russians remains unchanged: our energy. Among the goals are gas infrastructure and energy facilities that ensure normal life for people. There were more than 40 missiles in this strike, including ballistics. At least 30 destroyed. There were also more than 70 Russian attack drones overnight,” the head of state said..

According to Zelensky, thanks to the air defense and all the units involved, it is possible to maintain the operation of the energy system of Ukraine.

At the same time, our state constantly needs to strengthen the air shield.

“Partners at the NATO summit in Washington and in the Ramstein format made promises that have not yet been fully realized. We also talked about licenses for the production of air defense and missile defense systems, which could become one of the effective security guarantees for Ukraine, and this is also realistic and must be implemented,” the president emphasized.

Zelensky thanked everyone who helps Ukraine.

" Right now, with the defense of Ukraine, it is being determined whether Europe and the democratic world in general are capable of stopping wars - reliably and for a long time,” the Ukrainian leader concluded.
