This week, the Russian occupiers launched attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas of Ukraine using almost 700 aerial bombs and more than 600 attack drones. President Vladimir Zelensky stated this.

He emphasized that the war continues only thanks to the ability of the Russian army to terrorize Ukraine in this way and use its superiority in the sky. Therefore, according to him, it is important that partners still implement the agreements already concluded with Ukraine.

The President recalled that the decisions of the NATO summit in Washington, as well as the decisions taken at the Ramstein format meetings on air defense for Ukraine, have not yet been fully implemented.

We talked with partners and, in particular, with the United States, about the possibility of providing Ukraine with licenses for the production of air defense systems and missiles for them. This is not impossible, and it will only strengthen our overall ability to guarantee security. This is exactly the kind of force that makes lasting peace possible,” the president noted..

Zelensky stressed that Russia can only be forced to peace, because it does not stop its wars at will.

Part of such coercion, according to Zelensky, should be a sufficient quantity and quality of air defense.

Let us recall that at the end of December Zelensky appealed to the United States and Europe, reminding them of the promise to supply a significant number of air defense systems as compensation for the inability to invite Ukraine to NATO.

As reported, Zelensky recently held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters dedicated to the purchase of drones for the current year.
