Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region captured two wounded soldiers from North Korea. The latter were taken to Kyiv, where SBU investigators are now talking to them. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on his Facebook page on Saturday, January 11.
According to him, this task was not easy.
“Usually the Russians and other North Korean soldiers finish off their wounded and do everything to ensure that no evidence remains of the participation of another state – North Korea – in the war against Ukraine,” the head of state added..
The President expressed gratitude to the soldiers of tactical group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the paratroopers who captured these two people.
“Like all captives, these two soldiers from North Korea are receiving the necessary medical care,” Zelensky added..
The head of state instructed the SBU to provide journalists with access to these captives so that “the world knows what is happening”.
