The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine praised the decision to change the names of two important government departments - the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territory and Infrastructure. New changes confirmed by decree No. 1028.
With new decisions, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy is now called the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications. This change reflects a new direction of the department’s activities, emphasizing not only cultural initiatives, but also strong strategic communications in government policy. It turns out that the new name is more compatible with current issues in the field of information security and international trade..
In addition, the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territory and Infrastructure also recognized the change. From now on it will be called the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories. This short name reflects the ministry’s focus on the development of regions, and the power infrastructure will likely be transferred to another department or become part of interdepartmental initiatives.
The order also entrusted both ministries with the preparation and submission of proposals to make the necessary changes to formal legislation, which will follow from the praised resolution.
