Social payments in Ukraine: how military pensions changed in March

Despite the war, Ukrainians continue to receive pensions and other social benefits. Pension indexation took place in March. So, payments have changed for military pensioners. Channel 24 told whether disability pensions for the military have increased.

How military pensions have changed.

In Ukraine, from March 1, pensions were indexed, which brought some changes for military pensioners. Thus, the minimum increase in pensions was 100 hryvnia, and the maximum – 1577 hryvnia.

Previously, the minimum military disability payments without allowances were:.

I disability group – 5512.19 hryvnia;

Group II – 5,262.01 hryvnia;

III group – 5,010.64 hryvnia.

In March, these payments increased approximately by 600-700 hryvnia, but it is worth considering that depending on the rank and reasons for the injury, these amounts could be another 10-30% higher.

How pension payments have increased due to the cost of living.

Pension payments for military personnel increased along with an increase in the cost of living to 2,361 hryvnia. However, such persons will begin to receive new amounts from March 1.



Now, participants in combat operations are paid 25% of the subsistence level in addition to their pension, and persons with disabilities as a result of the war:.

Group III – 30%;

Group II – 40%;

And groups – 50%.

The total pension amount for combatants with all allowances cannot be less than 210% of the subsistence level. And for persons who became disabled as a result of the war:.

Group III – 360%;

Group II – 525%;

Group I – 650%.
