The Security Service of Ukraine has completed an investigation into the destruction of the AN-225 Mriya aircraft. Evidence of the guilt of the former general director and head of the aviation security division of the Antonov State Enterprise was collected, the SBU reported on Telegram.

According to the investigation, in January-February 2022, the defendants blocked the access of National Guardsmen to the territory of Gostomel Airport in preparation for its defense. The criminal actions of the officials led to the temporary seizure of the strategic airfield and the destruction of Mriya and other aircraft located there.

Prosecutors of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court. Ex-officials are accused of obstructing the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations - h. 2 tbsp. 27 hours. 2 tbsp. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The defendants are in custody. They face up to 15 years in prison.
