Martial law and general mobilization continue in Ukraine, which were introduced due to the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation. Men liable for military service from 18 to 60 years old are subject to conscription during mobilization.

All persons liable for military service must pass the military medical commission (VVK). Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar in her own Telegram channel told what changes have already taken place in the work of VLVK in Ukraine.

Malyar noted that in Ukraine the number of garrison IHCs on the basis of civilian healthcare institutions was increased.

She also noted that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a separate program of medical guarantees to finance the work of doctors, as well as payment for relevant laboratory tests necessary for the passage of the IHC..

According to Malyar, recommendations have been developed for organizing the work of the VVK and serving visitors, including the basic requirements for premises, for meeting the physiological and everyday needs of visitors, informing, navigating, organizing a queue.

Malyar added that in May 2023, amendments to the legislation of Ukraine were adopted regarding the possibility of creating an IHC at civilian (state and municipal) medical institutions and other security and defense forces, as well as improving the issues of processing and sending medical and other documents between military units and healthcare institutions.
