During the war, Ukraine simplified the conduct of the medical and social expert commission (MSEC). If a person does not have the opportunity to come directly for an examination, then the MSEC makes a decision in absentia based on the direction of the medical advisory commission of the healthcare institution. MSEKs have the right to examine patients and make decisions in absentia also for the following reasons of disability:.

work injury;

Occupational Illness;

a disease acquired during military service and service in the internal affairs bodies;

disease associated with the influence of radioactive exposure as a result of the Chernobyl accident.

How to appeal the decision of MSEK.

If it is necessary to appeal against the decision of the commission, then this can be done within one month by contacting the Central MSEC of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

In difficult cases, expert commissions may send persons applying for disability determination to conduct a medical and social expert examination in:.

Research Institute for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (G. Vinnitsa).
