The case of a criminal gang that robbed one of the Kyiv post offices of the State Special Communications Service for almost 70 million hryvnias was sent to court. This is reported by the website of the State Bureau of Investigation.

Four people, including former law enforcement officers, committed this daring theft in early March of this year.. Taking advantage of the martial law and shelling of the territory adjacent to the branch, they entered the premises of the State Enterprise of Special Communications and stole gold and silver jewelry worth about 70 million hryvnias from postal items..

During the investigation, about 10 kg of jewelry made of gold and silver were found and confiscated from the defendants - earrings, rings, chains, rings, pendants, several firearms with live ammunition without permits, as well as high-explosive fragmentation shells.

Four intruders are accused of theft committed on an especially large scale by an organized group under martial law (h. 5 st. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 12 years..
