The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Bureau of Economic Security, exposed a scheme for appropriating industrial volumes of natural gas for almost UAH 100 million. Attackers wanted to steal gas owned by LLC Gas Transportation System Operator of Ukraine, the SBU reported.

“The management of a private company that sells blue fuel is related to the organization of the transaction. Dealers carried out illegal gas extraction from the state monopolist as a result of using forged documents,” the SBU noted..

Law enforcement officers blocked the implementation of the scheme. The court arrested almost 3.5 million m? natural gas, which the attackers stole from the state.
