The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to change the date of entry into force of the register of oligarchs. From now on, the deadline, the procedure for the formation and maintenance of this register is set no earlier than “three months from the date of publication of the conclusion of the Venice Commission” instead of April 2022, according to government decree No. 177.
Amendments will be made to the Law “On the Prevention of Threats to National Security Associated with Excessive Influence of Persons Having Significant Economic and Political Weight in Public Life (Oligarchs)”.
The National Security and Defense Council and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine remain responsible for the formation of the register of oligarchs.
The government also delayed the development of a draft law on lobbying and related corruption risks until December 2023..
