The Verkhovna Rada initiated the renaming of one of the streets of Kiev in honor of the former Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky, who, along with 13 other people, died in a plane crash in Brovary, said Galina Yanchenko, MP from the Servant of the People. The helicopter, on which the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs flew, crashed near a kindergarten 40 days ago.
“I consider it my moral duty to launch an initiative to perpetuate the memory of Denis. Together with colleagues, we collected signatures for renaming one of the streets near the Ministry of Internal Affairs after Denis Monastyrsky. 150 people's deputies have already signed this appeal to the Kyiv self-government,” Yanchenko wrote on Telegram..
According to her, they plan to meet with the local authorities of Kyiv on this issue next week..
