In Kyiv, all electric transport resumed work, said the head of the Kyiv city military administration Serhiy Popko. In the capital, trolleybuses and trams did not work for 56 days due to a shortage of electricity caused by massive shelling of energy infrastructure.
“The effective work of the city authorities, power engineers and repair teams has practically restored the stability of the energy infrastructure of Kyiv. This allowed the city to gradually return to the resumption of the movement of urban ground electric transport.. In recent days, separate lines of trams and trolleybuses have been launched in turn. And today, all the electric transport of the capital has returned to its routes,” said Popka in the KGVA.
It is indicated that now 286 units of transport operate on 46 trolleybus routes, and 195 on 32 tram routes.. Popko said that Kyiv managed to overcome the severe transport crisis.
