The former CEO of Energoatom-Trading was suspected of causing damage of more than UAH 90 million

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported suspicion of abuse of official position to the ex-general director of the Energoatom-Trading separate division of SE NNEGC Energoatom.

According to the investigation, in September 2020, SE NNEGC Energoatom organized an auction for the sale of electricity, in which 32 companies took part.. At the same time, the official created the conditions under which the “necessary” company became the winner, which purchased electricity at a price of only UAH 1,120 per 1 MW / h, although other participants in the auction offered better prices - up to UAH 1,300 per 1 MW / h.



As a result, the sale of electricity in the amount of 1,465,000 MW. at the aforementioned price caused damage to a state-owned enterprise in the total amount of UAH 93.76 million.

NABU does not name the suspect, while from April to December 2020, four leaders were replaced at Energoatom-Trading. In particular, from mid-September to early December, the company was headed by Oleksiy Statnik, who later moved to Sales Energy LTD of Ukrzaliznytsia.
