Poland is going to start building an electronic fence on the border with the Kaliningrad region of Russia in March. It is reported by Polish Radio.

Border Guard Lieutenant Anna Mikhalskaya told local media that the electronic system in the Kaliningrad region should cover approximately 200 km of the land border.

It is known that the contractor is already preparing a project that will be submitted for approval to the border service.

Thanks to a system of sensors and cameras, specialists will be able to monitor the border 24/7, regardless of weather conditions.

In this case, there will be no need to be directly on the border line. Algorithms are designed so that the border guard can only respond to real attempts to cross the line by people.
