As a result of damage to the energy system of Ukraine by Russian shelling, the shortage of electricity remains significant, according to Ukrenergo. Over the past day, the enemy shelled the energy infrastructure in five regions.

They added that all oblenergos of Ukraine received electricity consumption limits. As of the morning of February 3, no limits were exceeded, emergency shutdowns were not applied by the dispatch center of NPC Ukrenergo.
At the same time, they explained that 13 missile and 15 drone attacks caused significant damage to high-voltage network facilities and power plants.. As a result, the production of electricity at operating power plants cannot fully cover the consumption.

The Ministry of Energy stated an improvement in the situation with electricity supply on Friday, February 3. It is predicted that the deficit of electric power for the evening maximum will be about 17.5% (from 19% on Thursday) of the need.
Earlier, the ministry said that due to the completion of repairs at some power units of thermal generation and weather conditions, a decrease in the volume of power shortages is expected compared to yesterday.
