Lawyer, lawyer-volunteer of the UBA Hotline on issues related to military aggression, its consequences and martial law Alisa Burtseva in an exclusive commentary to ZN. UA explained what documents you need to have with you when you appear at the military registration and enlistment office, including for those who have grounds for deferment from conscription.

“You must have an identity document with you, TIN (individual tax number), military registration card (other military registration document), documents relating to health, marital status, training, etc.. If there are individual medical indications: the conclusion of the medical advisory commission or a certificate of medical and social examination, a complete medical history.

An exceptional list of circumstances under which persons liable for military service are not subject to conscription during mobilization is set out in Art.. 23 of the Law of Ukraine "

The right to deferment from conscription on these grounds can only be exercised until the status of a military man is acquired..

After being called up during mobilization and being included in the personnel of a military unit, it is too late to apply for a deferment.

The right to exemption from conscription is exercised by submitting an appropriate application with the addition of documents confirming the existence of circumstances on the basis of which the right to deferment is exercised. Such documents may be evidence confirming the family connection (marriage certificate, birth certificate, passport of relatives, certificate of family composition).

The status of a large family is confirmed by certificates of parents and a child from a large family). If necessary, a court decision, a decision of state authorities or a community is provided. If the application is submitted on the basis of available medical indicators: a certificate from the medical advisory commission or a certificate of passing a medical and social examination, a complete medical history.

An application for exercising the right to a deferment is submitted to the territorial recruitment and social support center at the place of military registration or conscription:.

upon receipt of the summons;

if it is necessary to obtain a TCC and SP mark in military records when traveling abroad"

You can contact the Hotline by phone: 0800335818. Calls are accepted on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00.
