The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, said that the Russians abducted about a thousand civilians during the year of occupation of the city, hundreds more are in captivity. Fedorov announced this at a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center - Ukrinform.

According to the mayor of Melitopol, more than 3,500 prisoners were taken to the occupied Crimea. All of them were moved illegally. the occupiers also massively abducted civilians of the city.
