Despite Russia's military aggression, Ukraine continues to pay pensions and other social benefits. Families with an average monthly income below the living wage can receive low-income assistance. But sometimes payments can be denied.. The publication Facts ICTV spoke about the factors that may be the reasons for the denial of assistance for low-income families.

Why they may refuse to pay.
Denying social benefits for low-income families can be for several reasons:.
family has more than one car;
a low-income family owns a second apartment or house (this does not apply to real estate located in the temporarily occupied territories);
if one of the parents bought land, real estate or a vehicle or made a one-time payment for any services (except for medical, educational and housing and communal payments) in the year before applying for assistance;
if the family has able-bodied persons who have reached the age of 18 at the beginning of the period for which income is taken into account and have not worked, did not perform military service or have not studied.
You can appeal against the decision to refuse payment in court.
