In Ukraine, children who are brought up in large families have the right to receive benefits. In particular, they can receive the necessary medicines free of charge on a doctor's prescription, as well as go on recreational vacations.. The Ministry of Social Policy told what benefits children from large families can use.

Who is considered a child from a large family.

A large family is a family that brings up three or more children together, including each of the spouses, or one parent (one mother) living with three or more children and raising them independently.. Spouses must be legally married.

A large family also includes children who are full-time students in general education, vocational and higher educational institutions until they graduate from educational institutions, but not more than until they reach 23 years of age.

Children from a large family are issued appropriate certificates from the age of six.

Benefits for children from large families.

They have the following benefits:.

free prescription medicines;

annual medical examination and clinical examination in state and municipal medical institutions with the involvement of the necessary specialists, as well as compensation for the cost of dental prosthetics;

priority care in medical institutions, pharmacies and priority hospitalization;



free travel to all types of urban passenger transport (except taxis), public motor transport in rural areas, as well as suburban rail and water transport and buses of suburban and intercity routes, including intra-district, and inter-regional, regardless of distance and place of residence;

free receipt of health and recreation services in accordance with the law "
