After the de-occupation of the Zaporozhye NPP and Energodar, Ukrainian special forces will need at least two months to neutralize explosive devices, Energoatom reports on Telegram.

" This time is also necessary for Energoatom specialists to check the condition of the equipment and structures of the nuclear power plant and the adjacent territory..

Russian troops cannot start any power unit of the station due to damage to power lines.

" After all, the required temperature regime of their operation is not observed, and the blocks are in a cold non-working state.. The station does not produce electricity, but only consumes it from the Ukrainian energy system (about 100 MW for its own needs),"

US State Department spokesman Ned Price said that the United States of America supports the IAEA's efforts to ensure safety at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, and also urges Russia to leave the station.
