What experience do health workers need to have to receive a preferential pension?.

Doctors can receive a preferential pension for working with especially harmful and especially difficult working conditions (according to list No. 1) upon reaching 50 years of age and with work experience of at least:.

25 years (at least 10 of which must be in jobs with especially harmful and especially difficult working conditions) - for men;

20 years (at least 7.5 of which are given to work with especially harmful and especially difficult conditions) - for women.

Positions of health workers according to List No. 1:.

radiologists, as well as doctors employed in the departments of interventional radiology (X-ray surgery unit).

junior specialists with a medical education in X-ray departments (offices), as well as junior specialists with a medical education employed in the departments of interventional radiology (X-ray surgery unit).

The exception is women born in 1975 or those who were born before. They are entitled to receive a preferential pension until they reach the age of 50 in accordance with the Law “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”. Retirement age depends on woman's date of birth.

Also, a preferential pension for doctors employed full-time in other jobs with harmful and difficult working conditions (according to list No. 2) is assigned upon reaching 55 years of age and with work experience:.

at least 30 years (of which at least 12 years 6 months in the specified jobs) - for men;

at least 25 years (of which at least 10 years in the specified jobs) - for women.

List No. 2 includes the following positions of medical workers:.

medical and pharmaceutical workers infected with the human immunodeficiency virus while on duty;

junior nurses (nurses-cleaners) of pathoanatomical bureaus, centers, departments, prosectors, morgues;

workers employed in anti-plague establishments.

As well as workers directly serving patients:.

in tuberculosis and infectious diseases institutions, departments, offices; in leper colonies; in psychiatric (psycho-neurological) medical institutions (departments), orphanages; in boarding houses for the mentally ill, orphanages for mentally retarded children of the social security system - junior specialists with medical education, junior nurses, junior nurses to care for the sick, housewives;

in underground hospitals located in spent salt mines - doctors, junior specialists with medical education, junior nurses, nursing assistants, housewives; workers working underground to maintain hospital mine workings;

in burn and purulent departments - doctors, junior specialists with medical education, junior nurses, junior nurses for patient care, housewives.

in oncological institutions (divisions), centers, dispensaries - doctors, junior specialists with medical education, junior nurses, junior nurses for patient care, housewives employed in departments and chemotherapy rooms; junior specialists specialists with medical education, junior nurses, junior nurses for patient care, housewives employed in children's departments;

in X-ray departments (offices) - junior nurses for patient care.
