On January 6, on Christmas Eve, which precedes Christmas according to the Julian calendar, it is customary to cook 12 Lenten dishes. Among them should be kutya, dumplings, as well as a healthy and tasty drink - uzvar.

Traditional knot.

Ingredients:.

Prunes - 200 g.

Honey - 200 g.

Raisins - 100 g.

Water - 2 l.

Pears - 200 g.

Apples - 200 g.

Cooking:.

Pour dried fruits for 10 minutes with cool water, rinse.

Add 2 liters of water to the pan, put the pears. Cook on low heat for 20 minutes.

Add prunes, apples and raisins. Cook another 15 minutes.

Bring to a boil, add honey.

Serve chilled on the table.

Fragrant knot with cherry.

Ingredients:.

Dried pears - 100 g.

Dried apples - 100 g.

Dried cherries - 100 g.

Prunes - 60 g.

Raisins - 60 g.

Lemon - 1 pc..

Cinnamon - 1 hour.

Carnation - 4 pcs.

Nutmeg - to taste.

Sugar - to taste.

Water - 4 l.

Place sugar in a saucepan, add water and bring to a boil..

Add dried pears to the pan, after 5 minutes add apples, after 5 minutes add prunes and dried cherries, add raisins in the last 5 minutes.

Uzvar cook on low heat.

When all dried fruits become soft, add cinnamon and cloves. Let the drink sit a little.

Squeeze the juice from the lemon, add to the bowl, mix, boil for another two minutes.

Turn off the fire and let the uzvar brew for 5-6 hours.

Ingredients:.



Dried apple - 4 pcs.

Dried pear - 3 pcs.

Dried fruits - 1/2 tbsp.

Carnation - 5 pcs.

Dry white wine - 1 tbsp.

Sugar - 1/2 tbsp.

Cooking:.

Rinse dried fruits, put in a saucepan, add cloves, a little cinnamon, pour water and cook until half cooked..

Add white table wine to the uzvar, put sugar.

Bring to a boil several times, let it brew for 2-3 hours.

Let the bowl cool down and serve.
