Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with the National Police, reported suspicion to a former law enforcement officer from the Kupyansky district. The State Bureau of Investigation writes about this in its telegram channel.

During the occupation of the region, the suspect wrote a statement addressed to the occupation administration with a request to appoint him to a pseudo-law enforcement agency. The invaders entrusted him with the leadership of the escort service unit.

One of the main tasks of the unit, led by the collaborator, was the escort of local residents, Ukrainian law enforcement officers and ATO participants detained by the occupiers.

After the de-occupation of the region, the suspect tried to escape, but was detained as part of stabilization measures in the Kupyansky district.

The collaborator was informed of suspicion of high treason (h. 2 st.

111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment.

Procedural management is carried out by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
