Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets plans to meet with the Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova in January of this year and discuss with her the release of civilians from enemy captivity of our state. Lubinets announced this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, Ukraine is now paying special attention to the return of civilians, but the Russian side creates problems in this process..
" The problem is not with us, the problem is with the Russian Federation, because the Russian Federation now wants a separate platform for civilian. We will agree on this,"
This issue, in particular, will be a separate topic of the meeting with Moskalkova. Lubinets noted that our state has already worked out many options regarding captured civilians, but it’s not a fact that Russia will agree to them.
" But this month we will have a meeting with Moskalkova, where we will separately discuss the issue of releasing civilians,"

In addition, Lubinets hopes that this week, just like last week, Ukrainians will receive good news regarding the exchange of prisoners.. According to him, on January 2, Kyiv again negotiated with Moscow on the release of our citizens..
Recall that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, our state has managed to free 1596 people from the captivity of the invaders. In particular, 140 returned home on New Year's Eve.
