Law enforcement officers detained a man who launched fireworks on a hem in Kyiv on New Year's Eve, the National Police of Ukraine reported. Now a citizen of Kiev faces up to five years of restriction of freedom.

“As a result, the police found that fireworks were launched in a residential courtyard along Konstantinovskaya Street.. Investigators recovered a used launcher from the scene. During the operational-search activities, law enforcement officers identified the alleged suspect and conducted an urgent search in his apartment,"

A resident of Kiev, who turned out to be 47 years old, was detained in accordance with Art.. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Recall that a man was also detained in Vinnytsia, who neglected the calmness of the inhabitants of his region and decided to launch fireworks. The actions of the offender are qualified under Art.. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism).
