As part of the Grain From Ukraine program (“Grain from Ukraine”), a NEVA ship arrived in the Somali port with 25,000 food wheat for Ethiopia and Somalia, which are on the verge of starvation, the Ministry of Infrastructure reported.. It is indicated that this is the third ship with Ukrainian food that arrived in African countries as part of a program initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We are all witnesses of massive famine on the African continent. Unfortunately, more and more countries cannot afford enough food to meet the needs of their own people.. We are confident that this shipment of Ukrainian grain will be a new step for long-term cooperation and the fight against food shortages.. This is our contribution to restoring a secure and stable future,” said Alexander Kubrakov, Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure..

As noted in the Ministry of Infrastructure, the governments of Finland, France and Japan took over the logistics of the cargo..

Bulk carrier NEVA left the port of Odessa on December 9.
