President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed law No. 8081, enabling the Ukrainian military to take vacations during the martial law regime in the country. This is stated on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada voted for the draft of this law on December 1.

It provides that during martial law, a soldier may take part of the annual basic leave, as well as leave for family reasons and other valid reasons..

Each individual holiday can last a maximum of 10 days, excluding the time required to and from the holiday. However, this time should not exceed two days one way..

Part of the annual leave will be provided to the military once per calendar year, provided that at the same time more than 30% of the total number of military personnel will not be absent from the unit.

Recall that martial law in Ukraine was extended until February 19, 2023 due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on its territory.. Men liable for military service between the ages of 18 and 60 are subject to conscription during mobilization..
