Martial law is in effect in Ukraine and general mobilization has been announced due to a full-scale Russian invasion. For the military defending our land, a number of payments, benefits and additional payments are provided, including additional remuneration.

Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 28, 2022 No. 168 “Issues of certain payments to military personnel, private and commanding personnel, police officers and their families during martial law” provides for the payment of additional remuneration:.

up to 100,000 hryvnia per month for military personnel directly participating in hostilities or ensuring the implementation of measures for national security and defense, repelling and deterring armed aggression, while being directly in the areas during the implementation of these activities (including military servicemen) in proportion to;

UAH 30,000 per month for other servicemen (from the day of conscription (acceptance) for military service until the day of exclusion from the lists of personnel of the military unit due to dismissal from military service);

100,000 to private and commanding personnel of territorial (interregional) paramilitary formations of the State Penitentiary Service, involved by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in the operational-strategic grouping of the corresponding group of troops for direct participation in hostilities or ensuring the implementation of measures to nationally rebuff and deter armed aggression.

Documentary confirmation of the above facts is carried out on the basis of:.

combat order (combat order);

log of combat operations (shift, navigational watch, navigational log) or a log of conducting an operational situation or combat report (final, urgent, non-urgent) or post list (during the protection of the object on which an armed attack was made);

report (report) of the unit (group) commander on the participation of each serviceman (including those from attached or operationally subordinate units) in combat operations, in the performance of combat (special) tasks.

At the same time, the seconded military confirm their direct participation in hostilities or events with a certificate from the head of the military command body, the headquarters of the grouping of troops (forces), the headquarters of the tactical group, the commander of the military unit (institution, educational institution), to which the serviceman is seconded to perform tasks.

Payment is made on the basis of orders:.

commanders (chiefs) of military units (military educational institutions, institutions, organizations) - to the personnel of a military unit;

the head of the highest body of military command - the commanders (chiefs) of military units.

At the same time, in these orders for the payment of additional remuneration, based on the amount of 100,000 hryvnia per month, the grounds for its publication must be indicated with reference to the combat order (combat order) and the like..

Such orders for the last month must be issued before the fifth day of the current month from the reports of unit commanders..

In addition, during the period of martial law, orders for the payment of additional remuneration, increased to UAH 100,000, also include military personnel who:.

died (died as a result of wounds and injuries related to the defense of the Motherland received after the introduction of martial law in Ukraine), - payment is made for the entire month in which the serviceman died (died), but not more than the period of martial law;

captured (except for those who voluntarily surrendered), as well as those interned in neutral states or are missing (in the case when these events occurred both before the introduction of martial law and after its introduction);

in connection with a wound (contusion, injury, mutilation) related to the defense of the Motherland, are hospitalized in health care institutions (including foreign ones) - from the date of receipt of such an injury, including the time of transfer to a hospital institution (including from one hospital.

At the same time, the basis for issuing an order is a certificate of injury (injury, concussion, mutilation), which must indicate:.

military rank, surname, name, patronymic, year of birth of a soldier who was wounded (concussion, trauma, mutilation), associated with the defense of the Motherland;

information about the injury (concussion, trauma, injury) (date of receipt, type, nature and location of the injury (concussion, injury, injury)), which is entered on the basis of a medical opinion of a specialist;

the circumstances under which a wound (concussion, trauma, injury) was received in the defense of the Motherland, indicating the combat (special) tasks performed by a serviceman when he received injuries (wounds, shell shock, mutilation);

grounds for issuing a certificate (order of the commander of a military unit on the receipt of injury (injury, concussion, mutilation) to military personnel, published from a combat log, combat report, etc.. e).

Who from the military cannot receive additional remuneration.

In addition, the said order provides for a list of cases according to which military personnel who:.

take part in international peace and security operations;

are serving in multinational military command structures abroad;

voluntarily surrendered - from the day of capture, announced by order of the commander (chief);

arbitrarily left military units, places of service or deserted - for the month in which the violation was committed, and for the entire period of unauthorized leaving of a military unit or place of service (desertion), including the month of return announced by order of the commander (chief);

serve their sentences in a guardhouse and in disciplinary units - from the day the serving of the sentence begins, announced by the order of the commander (chief), until the day the actual completion of serving the sentence, announced by the order of the commander (chief);

suspended from the performance of official duties, suspended from the performance of official powers or suspended from office - from the day of suspension or suspension announced by the order of the commander (chief) until the day the removal or suspension announced by the order of the commander (chief) is actually completed;

refused to carry out combat orders (instructions) - for the month in which such a violation was committed, declared by order of the commander (chief);

consumed alcoholic beverages (narcotic and psychotropic substances) on the territory of the military unit both during service and off-duty hours;;

deliberately caused bodily injury or other harm to one's health or suicide (except for cases of driving a person to suicide, established by the court) - for the month in which the injury or other harm to one's health or suicide was committed;

committed other actions (inaction), for which the court made a decision to prosecute for committing a criminal, military administrative offense or an administrative offense related to corruption - for the month in which such a decision (sentence) was received by the military unit;

were (during their stay) in custody or house arrest or on training abroad (except for those who received training (training) on \u200b\u200bthe procedure for the use, maintenance and repair of various types of weapons and military / special equipment) or on vacation (for which, in accordance with the law.

At the same time, the above does not apply to the military personnel specified in paragraphs 4-8, 10, who died during the current month (died as a result of injuries and injuries received after the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, related to the defense of the Motherland) or captured, as well as interned.

In addition, during the period of martial law, in the event of the death of a serviceman (except for the above cases), an additional remuneration in the amount of UAH 30,000 is paid in full for the entire month in which the serviceman died, but not more than the period of martial law.
