The advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in different directions of the front forces the invaders to retreat and prepare for defense near strategically important settlements. One of these is Svatovo in the Luhansk region, to which Ukrainian soldiers are gradually approaching.. If they manage to overcome the Russians there, then in a few weeks they will be able to reach Lugansk. This opinion was expressed by military expert Oleg Zhdanov on the air of a single news marathon.

He believes that the de-occupation of Svatovoe will be a great success for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since it will open the way in several directions at once, in particular, to Kremennaya and further to Severodonetsk and Lysichansk. Zhdanov noted that in the event of the capture of Svatovoe, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon be able to approach Luhansk.

“I share the opinion that in a few weeks the Armed Forces of Ukraine can reach Lugansk. There are no defense boundaries beyond Svatov. If we have more reserves, we can increase the pace of the offensive and do it, as we did in the Kharkiv region. We can go to Lugansk without stopping.

But we need to overcome Svatovo,"

The expert also stressed that, despite the difficult situation for themselves in the Kherson direction, the Russians are not going to retreat to the left bank of the Dnieper, but rather deploy additional units in order to at least slow down the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
