General mobilization and martial law are in force in Ukraine, which were introduced due to Russian aggression. During this period, men of military age are not allowed to travel abroad.. There are situations when even persons who are not subject to conscription are refused by the border services, due to the fact that they did not prepare the necessary documents.

The State Border Service of Ukraine told whether men liable for military service who have a work visa of an EU country can leave the country.

To cross the border, in addition to identity documents, it is necessary to provide documents that confirm the status of a person who cannot be called up for military service and has the right to leave Ukraine.

Visas of foreign states do not confirm permanent residence abroad and do not give the right to travel to those liable for military service.
